Absolutely love the ambiance! The decor is perfect and the food is fabulous! It is authentic Haiitian food, privately owned. You can tell that the owners put a lot of love into their food. We went a little late in the day and it was slow, one of the owners waited on us and made sure everything was perfect! Sugar Bae's made the first night of our Honeymoon fantastic! It had been a rough day as we had some travel issues getting to Miami and chose it because of the cuisine and distance from our hotel, but it will definitely be where we go when we visit Miami in the future! Don't miss out on this one, especially if you like Haitian food. If you've never tried it (I am Cherokee from OK and hadn't tried it at all until I started dating my now husband), I highly recommend it! So delicious and they clearly know what they are doing at Sugar Bae's.
Pictured are their Fried Porc and Turkey in Sauce. They were both cooked perfectly, the meat was tender, the sauce was incredible and the plantains were delicious!

We celebrated my friend's 30th birthday. Food was hot and fresh, live band was superb, ambiance is gorgeous however they aren't well staffed. The 2 waitresses they had on duty that night did their best to provide good service. They were taking orders and running the bar. However, the wait time was ridiculous. I was baffled that management didn't jump in to help on a busy Friday night. We constantly had to remind them of our request, which was just annoying. Management wasn't inviting seemed annoyed.

I recently visited Sugar bae and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. While the atmosphere was undeniably beautiful and the live band played exceptionally well, the positives ended there.

The customer service was absolutely horrible. The staff seemed disorganized, and the owner displayed a complete lack of accountability when it came to handling reservations. It was clear they did not have a proper database or system in place, resulting in a frustrating wait and confusion about my booking.

To make matters worse, the food was extremely disappointing. It lacked flavor, freshness, and any sort of creativity I would expect from a place with such a refined ambiance. Despite the appealing presentation, the taste was well below par. The inattentive service further compounded the experience — servers were slow, unhelpful, and appeared overwhelmed.

Overall, this establishment prioritizes aesthetics over quality and service. For the price and expectations, it was a complete letdown. I will never return to this restaurant and would not recommend it to anyone seeking a pleasant dining experience.

It was terrible. I came on Friday January 3rd. They only had one server and the manager wearing a green dress was taking pictures and videos the ENTIRE TIME I WAS THERE. I came in at 8:00 I didn’t get my food until 10:00. My family had to flag her down multiple times just to get our Order. And the manager was just disappearing the entire night! I got legume with with rice and it was terrible it had no flavor to it and it tasted like it was sitting on the stove. I’ve had great legume before but this was terrible. We had to haggle the serve down for our drinks. Just terrible! Let’s not include it took like 40 minutes to get just a side of white rice since the legume was just terrible! No one had a good timer the only good thing about this place was the live music everything else was terrible! We couldn’t get anything! My nephew cried because he ordered fried chicken and rice and it didn’t come but everyone else’s food came mind you we ordered at 8 and nothing came. Just terrible. The managers are both not attentive. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I will never ever come back here again

The owner decided to send a response and it made no since we had 14 guest that night that ordered with the server. Like I said before the only good thing was the music they called my grandma on the stage and she had a wonderful time dancing. Other than that the service and food was Terrible! Your only server took two and half hours to bring us food! No one helped her. I asked for the manager in the grey suit and he took 10 minutes to come back and as soon as he saw the food he walked away! He was not attentive he did not check on us nothing. That’s why I gave the ambiance a 3/5. Everything else was terrible!

This restaurant is really cute inside. The decor is perfect to capture nice pictures. However, the service is extremely slow. It took over a hour and a half to receive our food after ordering. Mind you it wasn't that busy. When the food finally arrived, the rice was cold and wasn't fresh. I can tell the rice was at least 2 days old. The griot was fried way too hard and lacked flavor. My husband had the fish and it was fried well. It could have used more seasoning to make it a bit flavorful. The bar lady was nice however she look disheveled like she rolled out of bed and came to work. I could also tell she forgot to put on a bra. This place has potential. They need to work out a few kinks.

Terrible very terrible. My mom and her friends went there for a party, When my mom comes back home she explained to me that the food was terrible, the service was horrible, And the only thing good there is the inside of the restaurant. First off, The food was so late. They arrived at 7PM and got their food at 11PM. The food was disgusting. Most of the food was old and cold. My mom couldn’t even eat it because of how nasty it is. Second prices, The prices were so ridiculously high. Yes I know I’m general all prices are high but, They did not serve good food to make the prices high, Ridiculous. Third the waitress, There was only ONE waitress there and her outfit was disgusting. She was wearing a tight mumu with flip flops. My mom said she can see her MESS UP bbl. My mom couldn’t even eat the food she got. Everything was old and not even cooked. Fish, my uncle got fish. The fish was not cooked….It looked like the waitress only poured the seasoning on the fish and then served it. Wow. They also got legume, couldn’t even eat. Half of my mom’s friends and family had to give back their plates. My mom will NOT be going there ever again. Thank you Sugar bae lounge.
