Had a fantastic stay at the Manor House Haltwhistle. The room we stayed in was very comfy with a spacious bathroom. The staff were friendly and professional and gave us a very warm welcome. We ate in the restaurant in the evening next to a roaring fire. Top-notch tasty pub grub, would definitely recommend for an evening meal. The breakfast the next day was equally delicious with a large selection of cooked breakfast options, plus fresh fruit, toast, yoghurt and juice.
Haltwhistle is a lovely place close to Hadrian's Wall with lots of beautiful walks and nice local shops.

This pub serves amazing food. Myself, Hubby & 2 kids had tea here last Sunday. It was delicious. The girls who worked here where lovely, extremely helpful and friendly.|We even returned on Monday night to sample their pizzas which were also delicious.|I am Gluten intolerant, so was pleased to discover there is plenty of Gluten-free options on the menu. Which is quite refreshing!|We also had our dog with us and felt very welcome & at home. I highly recommend the Manor House Hotel!!!

This Inn oozed old worlde charm. The staff were friendly, knowledgable, hospitable the rooms clean and providing everything required...the bar and restaurant were warm with fireplaces and the food and drinks were great. We arrived just on dinner time, but were met by helpful friendly energetic staff. The breakfast was second to none. I fully recommend this Inn. We stayed as it was close to Glasgow and on the Hadrians Wall trail. A great location for exploring these and places such as Bamburgh Castle of The Last Kingdom fame and the Holy Isle of Lindisfarne, among others. The village of Haltwhistle is very pretty.

Received a voucher for my birthday for afternoon tea so we decided to invite two friends to join us. The staff had made a lot of effort and had laid the table with crackers and pretty china. When my husband and I arrived I then realised I had forgotten to ask for one gluten free afternoon tea so mentioned this to a member of staff who was so accommodating and said she would speak to the chef. 10 minutes later she came back and said it wasn't a problem and then produced the most amazing afternoon tea ever - 3 x three tier cake stands full of sandwiches quiches, pork pies, sausage rolls and a full assortment of cakes and sweet treats, then another plate with 4 fruit scones, clotted cream and jam. My friend who was gluten free also got a beautiful selection of gluten free sandwiches, a tiramasu, millionaire shortbread tart and a syrup sponge. An abundance of tea to accompany it and in a lovely room which we had all to ourselves so we could just sit and eat and chat and relax. Unfortunately with the best will in the world we could not finish it all so the staff offered us a box to take home the left overs. Great value for money - great staff - who went above and beyond so huge thank you to you all. We will definately be returning in the New Year.

Really lovely pub and restaurant! The building is clean and welcoming with a lovely atmosphere. I think the kitchen had a bit of a disaster but the new lady who served us was absolutely lovely and the manager on shift handled the situation incredibly. Reasonably priced with lots of options. Would definitely come back next time we come to Haltwhistle!

The welcoming staff, the cosy bar with a real fire, the amazing food and the value for money and the nice location all add up to a 5 star review. Only regret was not staying longer so we will just have to go back again ! Any food lover will appreciate the quality of the food here......it really is very, very good.

We stayed several days at Manor Inn. This is an old coaching inn originally and has an adjacent building where we stayed as a large family. The accommodation, though dated, was clean and tidy and basically comfortable for us. There are steep stairs in the part we were in which older visitors might want to note. I may write a separate review on the restaurant portion which was worth driving miles for. Real food prepared at the inn, not production or frozen. The best steak and ale pie I have ever had and large portions with great gravy. Other meals at the same high quality standard. Full breakfast was a good standard. Very friendly and attentive staff.
